The future of the Boundary Waters is on the line.
From Washington, D.C. to Saint Paul, Minnesota, Chilean-based Antofagasta and Swiss-based Glencore have taken control of our political process with the goal of opening the dangerous Twin Metals and PolyMet copper-sulfide mines at the edge of the Boundary Waters.
You can stop them by helping us elect the right people. Friends of the Boundary Waters Action Network is dedicated to electing public officials who will stand up for the clean water and rugged Wilderness of the Boundary Waters.
With Trump's return to the Whitehouse, the Boundary Waters needs you more than ever. We need you to be part of this movement!
Even if the Trump administration steamrolls federal protections for the Boundary Waters, Twin Metals would need to acquire multiple state permits. Friends of the Boundary Waters Action Network will serve as a watchdog, holding state agencies to account and ensuring they uphold the laws designed to protect people and the environment.
